Help redirecting wordpress.com to wordpress.org
-
Hey guys,
I recently downloaded my site to our server…my wordpress.com was: http://www.whatisreallyhealthy.wordpress.com
and now its http://www.healthfoodlover.com/hfl/ How can I make the first link redirect to my new link? Also is there a way to keep the feed I used on the first site and add it to the new one?
I’m still learning- is there any kind of ‘beginners guide’ on this site?
Thanks,
Michelle

would I do the sticky post on the wordpress.com one? Everytime I go into that url it says “link appears to be broken”. How would I go about doing that?

If you want seamless re-direction between the two different URLs to the same posts then you must purchase domain mapping as well.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/If you do not purchase domain mapping and renew it annually then there will be no 302 temporary redirect (seamless re-direction between the two different URLs to the same posts). All the links will be “broken” and your readers will have to rely on a re-direction link you place in a post or in a widget on your wordpress.COM blog.
