I paid for like 1 or 2 months of a plan, and then reached out to you guys that I would like to cancel. You still charged me 35 dollars a month until May. This is unbelievable. Ive been charged almost 540 dollars for something I dont even use.

Hi @weyafay, I’m not seeing any previous contact from you, or $540 in upgrades. Is there any chance you have another account?
I do see a recent charge on this account that was refunded, but if you have another account here, let’s find that and get you sorted. Do you remember what the other site name would be?

. If you would like I could send you a screenshot of the purchases made. I cancelled the subscription a while back and I still got charged, i’m not sure why this happened, if you would like to see the screenshot please let me know. It is on the same account by the way. Have a good night.

Are you speaking of the monthly Business Plan you had with us on the
weyafayaccount?I see you bought that plan in October last year. The last renewal was on 22 May, and you cancelled that renewal on the same day for a full refund. The earlier payments are past the refund period.
When did you contact us to request cancellation of that upgrade? This forum thread is the first support request we’ve ever received from your account. Did you perhaps contact us via a different account?

I wanted to cancel the subscription and went on hostgator and cancelled hostgator first. Then I went to wordpress and cancelled the subscription. I still kept getting charged for wordpress 35 dollars a month until May, the month of May was refunded.

Hostgator and WordPress.com are two different hosting companies. So, it appears that for the cancelation, you reached out to Hostgator instead of reaching out to us.
Now I see that you’ve canceled your monthly plan with us, and you won’t be charged again in the future.

Yes sir, I know they are two seperate companies, im saying I cancelled my hostgator subscription first to inform you the exact steps I took. I did not use the software at all after I cancelled it a couple months ago. I still got charged for it though and would like a refund. You can check the website, I did not use anything and did not even edit the website or it has not been used. I would like my money back, I believe I used the website for 2 months starting at October I believe. I did not use it at all after February. I would appreciate a refund.

Hi there, would you please clarify who the merchant is listed as on this charge?
If you were hosted on Hostgator, you would have been using the software from https://wordpress.org/ which is completely free, so if the charge is from Hostgator, then the charge would have been for hosting the site and the refund would need to come from them.

Wordpress it says was charging me $35.89 a month for a subscription plan including tax. I’ve talked with hostgator, already they did not charge me.

Because we are separate companies, when you make a cancellation at another provider, we are not aware of it on this end.

I have been charged $540 dollars but the month of May was already refunded. The reason I was charged $505 dollars was because I had the Business plan for $33 dollars but $35.89 with tax on 2 accounts. I cancelled both of the accounts months back but was still being charged. The email on that account is (email visible only to moderators and staff). Its not right to be charged without even using the service when I cancelled it a couple months ago. I have photos of the charges if you guys need those. This is really stressful and hopefully we can get this sorted. We also did not contact Host gator for the wordpress cancellation, we contacted host gator for the host gator cancellation and wordpress for the wordpress cancellation.
