help reserecting my site!

  Hello,

  I’ve got myself into a bit of a mess and lost access to my site. Let me explain:

  I have multi web space hosting at Name.co.uk and the sever is unix, thus I have access to “File Management”.

  My site’s URL is mikeerwood.uk The DNS is set to: mikeerwood.uk

  I created my site, first time using WP. I had it at “mikeerwood.uk/wp/graphicdesigner” and it was good for a first attempt.

  I also had a client’s site temporarily hosted at “mikeerwood.uk/wp” (their DNS pointing at this address) but I had successfully moved it to their our space following WP instructions, then deleted their site on my sever.

  Now I wanted my site to be at the route, so I read the WP instructions and changed the settings for the hosting and web access from
  mikeerwood.uk/wp/graphicdesigner
  to
  mikeerwood.uk
  then saved it.

  Then, in the control panel, moved the files. It didn’t work! The site could not be seen, message like “The file or page is not working.” came up.

  Previously I had downloaded all the server file via FTP. So I thought I had a back up.

  So I left it over night but in the morning there was no change.

  Probably wrongly I decided to go back. So using FTP I reloaded the file to “mikeerwood.uk/wp/graphicdesigner”.

  I still can’t access the admin, something about cookies, and the links have broken though the content is visible as text.

  As I said, a bit of a mess.

  Can you help point me in the right direction please or do I start again, (hopefully not!).
