Help Retrieving My Site
-
Hello. Newbie here. I was trying to edit my site, but I couldn’t find some of the elements that are usually there (tags, and other parts of my site I am trying to edit). There was a hazard sign by the Jetpack plugin saying disconnect. It said something about not being able to edit all of my stuff unless I updated. I tried to update, but it wouldn’t allow me to so I tried clicking the disconnect button. No my site has been completely removed from my dashboard! I checked, and I can still access it online, so I am hopeful I didn’t delete a year of posts, but can you tell me 1. How to get it back under My Sites and 2. How to install the new Jetpack plugin so I can edit my stuff properly? Thanks!

WordPress has 2 critical areas:-
a) WordPress Upgrades
b) Plugin Compatibility.Whenever you upgrade your wordpress, you have to disable plugins which are not compatible otherwise these issues are normal. Still, you can do 1 thing. Access your website through FTP. If you installed any recent plugin which resulted in this error then rename the plugin. This could help to restore your website.
Also let me know url of your website.

Renaming the plugin folder will automatically disable your plugin which can be activated later by restoring plugin to its original name.
Also, make sure you do not have 2 firewalls, 2 antiviruses or 2 Cache services running at the same time.

w.lifetrulysimplified.com – your site loads fine for me
However
The site you are asking about does not seem to be hosted on WordPress.COM so you need to make friends over at WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using.
This site is for support of sites hosted on WordPress.COM. You should address your questions to WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using: http://wordpress.org/support/
The forum at WordPress.ORG is not connected to WordPress.COM so you will need to open an account at .ORG if you do not already have one. You may use the same email at WordPress.ORG as you do at WordPress.COM.
