Help reverting back to wordpress domain name from a paid domain

Hi, hoping someone might be able to help.
We are trying to revert back to our free wordpress domain name: https://stwilfridskirkby.wordpress.com/ from a domain name that has expired: https://stwilfridskirkbyinashfield.com/
We no longer have control over the https://stwilfridskirkbyinashfield.com/ as the person that registered it has lost contact and there is no way to get in touch.
Can you provide any advice as how to do this please as both URLs point to a “Oh no! This blog’s domain stwilfridskirkbyinashfield.com expired!” splash screen.

You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and to disable auto-renew.
Provided you are logged in under the same username account that purchased the upgrade, and you are within the allowed time frame for refunds, you can cancel and request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. Hey there,
I checked the account and there was actually another year worth of subscription for the domain stwilfridskirkbyinashfield.com that was not being shown under the account. I corrected it so the domain should be active now.
If you still want me to remove the subscription I can, but you have 11 more months of use for the domain until it expires.

I currently have the site zx14.com.au and the domain mapping with Crazy Domains will expire in two months. I want to revert back to the zx14.wordpress.com instead of renewing my domain subscription. I have logged in, gone to Manage Purchases and cancelled the domain.
Will the site automatically revert to zx14.wordpress.com when my paid domain subscription expires? Cheers Jules.

Your domain – zx14.com.au – is currently mapped to this blog -kawasakizx14.wordpress.com. The auto renew for the upgrade has been disabled so your site address will automatically go back to kawasakizx14.wordpess.com.
