Help separating domains needed

I’m trying to help my friend get her domains straightened out. She has 2 domains registered with goDaddy. She added a second domain (also registered with goDaddy). After mapping that second domain, she discovered that the domain was linked to her main domain. She wants the 2nd domain to be totally independent. I looked around the support site and discovered that she needs to create a separate account, using a separate email address. So she tried to do this, but now WP tells her that the domain she wants to move to the separate account is already in use. Please help me help her understand what to do. I am logged in as her, but of course email will go to her address.

Your friend needs to login to WordPress.com and post to this thread and take care of her own business with Staff here.

Thanks for the URL but do note what I posted still stands. Staff work with blog owners and not those who post on their behalf.

I’ve just emailed her and told her she needs to respond to your reply. I hope she will do so shortly.

It’s okay if she does not respond promptly because it’s the weekend and Staff work through all threads tagged for help in chronological order in accord with datestamps and timestamps so it’s not likely they will respond to this one right away.

I mapped a second domain (diannemarieandre.com) yesterday. My primary domain is inandaroundthegarden.net. I do not want the second domain associated with my primary domain. I want each domain to be completely independent. I understand that in order to do this I need to establish a separate account with a separate email address. I tried to do this, but now WP won’t let me use diannemarieandre.com because it is already registered. Please help me understand what to do to separate these two accounts and two domains.

Currently both of the domains are mapped (pointing to) the WordPress.com site dja70.wordpress.com.
If you want inandaroundthegarden.net to be pointing to a different WordPress.com site that you own under your dja70 account, please let me know what the site is (or create a new one).
If instead you want that domain pointing to a different WordPress.com site owned by a different user, please let me know what the site is, and ask the other user to also post in this thread confirming that this is also what they wish to do. I will also need to know which user should own the actual upgrade and be responsible for the renewal.
