Help – settings menu limited to "Polls & Ratings"

  I’m an author on a multi-author blog. I’d like to publicize my posts to Twitter as shown on this page: http://en.support.wordpress.com/publicize/

  However, when I click on the Settings menu, the only thing there is “Polls & Ratings”. There is no menu like this:

  How can I get the full settings menu?

  Howdy,

  Unfortunately, authors are unable to change the Sharing settings on a blog. There are various limitations for user roles that are described in detail here.

  You can always publicize your posts by manually sharing them on your Facebook or Twitter accounts.

  OK. I just thought from reading this that each individual could set their own settings.I guess that applies only to multi-author blogs where each user is administrator level.
