Help! Someone has set up a profile with my details

  Hi,

  Someone has created a profile on wordpress pretending to be me. They are using my name, address, etc. I was informed about this recently and I have now set up an account so I could report it as abuse. I have heard nothing back from wordpress regarding the matter …

  Can wordpress remove this profile and associated blogs ?

  Please advise the appropriate steps to take

  Thanks Jackiedana, I will report it as abuse. And I hope that wordpress will then suspend or remove the site as this is against wordpress’s terms of service section 2. Responsibility of Contributors:
  “your blog is not named in a manner that misleads your readers into thinking that you are another person or company. For example, your blog’s URL or name is not the name of a person other than yourself or company other than your own”

  Sorry for getting all specific but this fake profile needs removed.
  Can I send you the URL privately aswell ?

  Thanks timethief. I will report it immediately. Appreciate your quick response. My faith in wordpress shall be restored once I get the fake site took down.
