HELP: Stop spammer from filling all my comments boxes.

    Spammer filling comments in all parts of my blog site. How do I stop them from doing this without killing my interaction with my “real” visitors.??? Your filters are not working.
    Also they are NO information on my stats that they have even Visited my site or pages, What is that about?? Getting Overwhelmed… please advise ASAP

    I would enable comment moderation to moderate every comment. Take a look at “settings”, “discussion” and there take a look at “Before a comment appears”… enable “Comment must be manually approved “

    Then you can moderate all comments before they go live.

    Akismet works great to catch most of the spam but sometimes spam can come through. Comment moderation is always better in my opinion.

    Actually, if there is only ONE spammer, put his username and email in the blacklist box on your Discussion page. That way none of his spam gets in.

    In related news, Akismet is really not working well recently. How many comments from New Coupon Deals usernames can possibly be real?
