Help switching my domain from WordPress.com
-
I am trying to move from WordPress.com to a third party using WordPress.org. I originally had a premium plan with WordPress.com and bought the domain BohemianBrunette.com. When I planned to switch to WordPress.org, I cancelled my premium plan and that switched my domain to BohemianBrunette.wordpress.com. Now that I’m trying to switch, I would like the domain to be released from WordPress.com so that I am free to build my website on WordPress.org. Thank you

I have reversed the domain cancellation for you. When a domain is canceled, the registrar will hold onto it for a period of time as an anti fraud measure.

Hi!
There’s a few options available to update your domain name to your new web host. (You’ll want to double check with your new web host to see what’s best.)
The easiest is to update your domain name servers:
Change name servers to point the domain outside of WordPress.com
You can leave your domain registered with WordPress.com and point it to another host by changing its name servers. You’ll keep the domain upgrade you purchased with us, and just stop using our hosting.
To change name servers, you need to insert the name servers provided by your host under Domains — by clicking Edit and then Name Servers.
If this works best for you, there are step-by-step instructions here.
