Help! "The domain name you entered is already mapped to a WordPress.com blog."
-
I am trying to map tennlawoffice.wordpress.com to a domain that I own, joebrandonlaw.com.
I previously forwarded joebrandonlaw.com to another website via GoDaddy. I have canceled that forwarding and added the wordpress DNS.
When I try to forward tennlawoffice.wordpress.com to joebrandonlaw.com, it tells me “The domain name you entered is already mapped to a WordPress.com blog.”
I don’t know what is is mapped to. I would just like to map tennlawoffice.wordpress.com to joebrandonlaw.com.
Thanks!

You need to map the other way around, with the domain mapping upgrade. Map joebrandonlaw.com to tennlawoffice.wordpress.com

I’m not sure I understand how to do that. I went to joebrandonlaw.com/wp-admin and it appears to be tied to tennesseelawattorneys.wordpress.com. How can I untie that?

Found the domain and deleted the mapping (it was set to expire in a few days, ironically). Now repurchased through new site. That should fix it, right?
