HELP! the site title on the browser shows "home – 'website name'"
-
I am new to WordPress and I have been making some websites using various themes available in WordPress. This is happening with two of my websites that the site title area on the browser’s tab area shows “Home- ‘website name'”. I want it just to be the company’s name and its tagline. Someone, please help in fixing this.

Hello there,
Many thanks for reaching out.
Are you able to confirm the URL of the website that you need assistance with please?
Generally speaking, this information would be found in Appearance > Customize > Site Identity section of the site.
I hope this helps.

Hi aleone89, thanks for replying. One of the websites that I was having problem with was fixed by using a different theme, but I am still stuck with another website, i.e infosential.in , I have already changed the site identity section with site title as Infosential and tagline as “Creating Impact Together”, but it doesn’t show in the browser’s tab when someone opens it on their devices. Please check and see if you can help. Thanks again!

I thought I have fixed the issue with the website but it’s still there with thelastrep.in too.

Hi there,
The text that’s appearing in the browser tab is typically controlled via a SEO plugin, and checking the source code for your sites in my browser, I can see that in both cases that’s the
<title>tag being added in the HTML by the Yoast SEO plugin. So to change that, you need to change the relevant setting in that plugin for each site.
Please contact support for the Yoast SEO plugin you’re using directly for help with this.

Hello there, this method worked just fine. I used the plugin’s settings and the issue was solved. Thank you very much.
