Help! Tried editing and now my posts won't show up!

  I need help! I had a “Home” page that showed featured content with a portfolio style and a “Blog” page where my posts were found. I felt it was redundant so I wanted to just make my “home” page the blog posts page.

  I tried changing it and now everything is messed up! My posts completely disappeared and don’t even show up on the posting page.

  What can I do? Somebody please help me

  You have two choices on any blog
  (1) All posts on the front page.
  (2) A static front page and posts on a different page.

  By default the front page of your blog displays all published posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. That is for the convenience of your returning visitors who will not be happy to have to click through an About page every time they visit your blog as they come to read your most recently published content. Creating that situation can make some visitors annoyed – so annoyed that they stop following your blog.

  However, if you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page called for example “Welcome” for your site and a “Blog” page for all published posts (not pages) to display on in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top.

  To do that create two pages first http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/

  After you do that you go to > Settings > Reading and make the designation change for each page and click “save changes”.

  Originally I went with Option 2 and created a static “welcome” page. Now I would prefer to go back to the default where posts automatically are shown on my front page.

  But I can’t get it to go back to the default option! I tried changing it in editing but it is still showing a static front page. How can I get my blog to default back to showing posts on the “front” page??

  I have been posting quite happily for years but recently changed the theme of the site and wanted to write some new posts.

  I wrote a post, put an image and hit publish – but only the text shows up – and with none of the internet links that I embedded. I keep saving and refreshing the page – but nothing.

  Any advice???!!

  Could someone please help me with the appearance of my blog?

  I want it to go back to the default setting of posting on the front page. I tried going from a static page (with portfolio slide) to the default set up and now everything is messed up.
