Help unparking a domain

  Hi there,
  I wanted to transfer my domain name to another host. Ignoring the consequences, I foolishly canceled my domain name thinking it would free it up and I’d be able to relink it with the new host. Now I have the message “This domain is parked.” What should I do to recover my domain name and transfer it? it’s sofialeggio.com

  I read a previous thread with this same issue, and it seems it was resolved by reattaching the domain to a placeholder site, is that possible in this case? I have another free wordpress site where it could reconnect..

  I understand that there are no guarantees, but any help to restore the domain would be greatly appreciated!

  Hi there!

  I was able to restore your domain (I have restored your site as well, to be able to do that). You can now transfer it by following these steps:

  https://wordpress.com/support/move-domain/transfer-domain-registration/

  Once your domain is transferred away, you can delete your WordPress.com site again.
