HELP USING CSS?

    1. Hello, i Would like to know if someone can help me taking advantage of the CSS option, since i dont have any knowledge of, i find it a pitty to have paid off for an upgrade that includes that option and not being able to use it in my site….What are my possibilities when using CSS language? what could i eventually do with it?

    2. I have been using custom design too, not too friendly to be honest!, i can’t get the colors right, it just seems that the upgrade didn’t help that much making my blog look better and easier to read, which is what i would like eventually…I would like to be able to manipulate pictures better and not having that white horrible background in my pictures, but i just don’t know how to correct it.

    Things i would like to do: For example: http://stevemccurry.com/blog/step-step

    – Big pictures in the middle of the screen and not the tiny ones i have with horrible white background.
    – Headers/categories/menu on top and not to the side
    – Big size pictures
    – Be able to choose the background colors easily, i just dont get the color dots and palettes!

    I have been playing a lot around but i dont seem to progress, i would like to know how to take advantage of my upgrade, i thank you in advance for all your explanations and please dont resend me links from CSRs, i have read most things in the side, i need precise help and explanations.

    thanks thanks thanks and have a nice day!!! :-)

    That is a very open ended question. In general, CSS can be use to change the appearance of HTML elements on a web page. If you look through this CSS forum, you will find tons of examples showing what CSS can do. It may take you some time to learn if you are new at it. You might consider starting with a tutorial such as this one:

    Adjusting a theme such as Dusk to Dawn which is currently used on http://lescouleursduvagabond.com/ to look like http://stevemccurry.com/blog/step-step would require extensive work.

    One possible alternative would be to select a different theme that displays bigger images from the start. On WordPress.com, the Nishita and Anthem themes might work well if displaying large images is what you’d like to do:

    * http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/nishita/

    If you haven’t already seen the Custom Colors help page, check it out because it has several screenshots and explanations as well as a video example.
