Help which theme will post large photos with text underneath?

I am a complete newbie here, just signed up today. I am trying to create a blog where my posts would have a location as a title– eg, Vienna, Christmas Market. Then, underneath the title I would like several photos, with space under the photos to indicate the particular souvenir I am displaying (in one photo I would show a hat stand, then the next a close up of the hat). I would like the ability to click through for additional photos for certain posts. I am really confused and need very simple recommendations/instructions.

I can’t help with specifics like you are listing. Another Volunteer (justpi) know themes inside and out and will assist when he logs in and locates this thread.

Thanks for the reply. I am currently using the Nishita theme but I am not sure if this is the right one or if I’m just not using it properly. I am not super picky about the theme if it can display photos in a simple and organized manner.
I am also confused on the font size– the font on Nishita is too small and there does not appear to be a way (at least I can find) to make it bigger.
Many of the photo blogs have pictures all over the place– I want all the photos to be the same size in one column.

These are 3 ways to change fonts on wordpress.com blogs.
(1) Changing font families, colors and size in text in posts or pages either post by post or page by page by coding into the HTML editor.

I’ve been looking through the wordpress showcase blogs and I love everything about this NY Times one– I hope there is something similar available in a pre-made theme?

That’s a custom design and it’s under their copyright. I don’t know if there’s a similar theme or not and I’m multitasking from my business so I don’t provide help with theme selection – sorry.
