I have already answered your first thread at https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/how-do-i-have-many-versions-of-my-website?replies=7#post-1973405 and if you chnage URLs I think you are making a big mistake. However, if you insist then you can change the blog address ie. the URL starting with http://. You must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog to do that and the URL you desire must be available. If so then you can change the URL by using this guide http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/ Look closely at the image to find the correct My Blogs location

Note that both changing a URL or deleting a URL are permanent and irreversiable actions. You can read all about site redirects here http://en.support.wordpress.com/site-redirect/

May I also add this please? You have a pronounced sense of urgency and seem to think all traffic comes from Google. In fact, healthy blogs that have been regularly posted to and have existed for over 6 months do gain a significant amount of traffic from search engines. However, knowing that you are required to act to create a flow of traffic to your blog should not escape your attention.
Two ways of attracting like-minded subscribers are
(1) commenting meaningfully and frequently on blogs with similar content and
(2) being active on social networking sites. On the bottom of your Admin page you will find a link to the Learn WordPress.com blogging Tutorial prepared by Staff. http://learn.wordpress.com/
The support documentation is all found at the Support link http://en.support.wordpress.com which is also on the bottom of your Admin page.

http://dailypost.wordpress.com/postaday/ebook-grow-traffic/If you want to increase traffic then don’t listen to anyone who professes there are passive ways of doing that. Increasing traffic to a blog is hard work. If you want your blog to rank well in search engine results then that begins with creating and publishing original content ie. unique content that cannot be found anywhere else on the internet.
These 5 videos introduce how Google discovers, crawls, indexes your site’s pages, and how Google displays them in search results. If you are using a WordPress.com theme good SEO is a given. However, going beyond the theme what the blogger has done within that structure is worth evaluating. Whether you write informative, persuasive or controversial content learning how search engines work, and how to apply basic SEO to you content will benefit your blog as it will increase traffic from targeted readers. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2011/10/21/two-seo-videos-for-bloggers/

Do not assign a combined total that exceeds 15 Categories/Tags to your posts. All reasons for non-appearance of posts on Topics pages can be found here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/topics/#missing-posts
The rule of thumb is to assign to your posts the least, not the most, combined number of only relevant categories and tags that accurately describe the individual post content.

@timethief Ok, thank you so much for explaining so well. You totally got why I wanted to change my url:) It’s just that my blog name is so unoriginal and it’s really hard to even get found on google. Will my page rank go up as time goes by? It is quite new at 2 months.

This is debatable. Every new blog is in what’s referred to as Google’s sandbox. It’s an imaginary place and what’s referred to is the fact that for the first 6 months the search engines are focusing on whether or not your are actually a blogger creating original content, or a splogger who blog scrapes other blog content without permission, publishes nothing but reblogs and/or awards and other memes, or is a spammer.
http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2009/05/26/blog-strategy-google-sandbox-or-trustbox/You have a great URL that I would NOT change. Your blog benefits from the HUGE SEO of being hosted here on a .wordpress.com sub-domain.

http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2013/04/11/seo-and-your-blog/My advice it to become an original content creation machine for at least 6 months before you consider doing anything else.

Thank you so much! You have been so helpful. I really have to learn how to be patient with my blog, and I am so glad you made me realize that before I made a mistake:)

I’m happy to help and sure you will do fine if you aren’t fueled by a false sense of urgency. Best wishes for productive an happy blogging. :)

If you change your URL you lose ALL pagerank that your blog had and start again from zero. If you’re going to do that, you might as well buy a custom domain and then all the pagerank accrues to that URL, which is portable and more professional looking.
