1. To confirm, you are applying for WordPress.com affiliate membership on https://refer.wordpress.com right? When you click on “Apply for membership” button, you should be asked to login with your WordPress.com account and you can authorize it.
Are you seeing a blank screen after authorizing your WordPress.com account?
2. Can you rephrase your question, please? It’s not very clear in its current format and I am not able to understand the context. Thanks.

1. Yes I get a blank screen when I authorize my wordpress.com account.
2. I insert my mailing list link in the text widget on the right sidebar of my blog. When I test the link all I see is a bunch of code and text all mixed up. -
1. This is beyond the scope of volunteers to answer here. I have added a tag “modlook” in this topic. One of the members from the WordPress.com staff/WordPress.com Happiness Engineers should be able to help you through this.
2. The link seems to be working fine. When I click on it, it takes me to a MailChimp signup page. Is it not working as intended? Let me know and I can get to the bottom of this and help fix things wrong.

Hi kaz10,
Been trying to sign up to the wordpress affiliate program. But whenever I hit the ‘connect’ button, all I get is a blank screen. What’s happening?
When you say our affiliate program, are you trying to login with your WordPress.com account on this page?:
https://refer.wordpress.com/wp-login.php
When I try to insert the my mailing list link in the text widget, all I get is a bunch of code and text.
I can see a widget called ‘Mailing List Sign Up’ in your sidebar, do you still need help with this?
Thanks!

Concerning the mailing list link, when I use the code option, that’s when I get all that code and text

Hi kaz10,
Okay, where are you copying the code from? If possible, please add it back to the widget so I can see the code itself and what happens when it is added to the widget.

Gemmacevans,
Yes I’m trying to loginwith my wordpress.com account on this page:

Hi kaz10,
I’ve logged in to the site and can’t see any issues with the Log In button when connecting to a WordPress.com account. It would be great if you could reply with the following information:
- Do you also see a blank page when logging in using a different browser? For example, Firefox.
- Which browser (including version number) and operating system are you using? You can see all of that information in one place by visiting this site: https://supportdetails.com/
Thanks!

Hi kax10,
Thanks for adding the code back again, something doesn’t look quite right there. When you copy the code from MailChimp, does it look like the example in the screenshot on this page?
I’m referring to the screenshot with Copy/paste onto your site. If you paste the code you are adding to the widget in here, I can take a look.

Hi hemmacevans, below is the code:

/* Add your own MailChimp form style overrides in your site stylesheet or in this style block.
We recommend moving this block and the preceding CSS link to the HEAD of your HTML file. */Subscribe to our mailing list

Hi kaz10,
Thanks. Do you want to use the subscriber popup form or embed a form with fields for name and email address etc?

Hi kaz10,
In that case, you will need to look at these options mentioned in the MailChimp guide:
