Help with a theme design

  Hey There,

  I’ve mocked up a design for a website that I hope to create using WordPress. I was hoping to get some advice though.
  I have experience skinning themes but I’m struggling to find a theme that would match the design I have made. If you guys could take a look at the pic I have linked and let me know if it would be easier to modify a theme to get the look I am after, or whether it’s quite straight forward to create my own theme?

  This is the WordPress.COM support forum and here we can only use the themes provided at > Appearance > Themes on our free hosted blogs. If you are referring to a WordPress.ORG install post to http://wordpress.ORG/support/
