Help with an Eleganttheme

  Hi everyone, i’m a wordpress newbie been messing around with a few site, currently trying to help a friend out by creating a wordpress site, I have chosen a theme from elegantheme.com and I am after some help with sorting out the main page.

  the website http://www.elegantandglamour.com

  The 3 columns ‘Random Posts’ ‘Recent Comments’ ‘Next Event’ on the homepage I would like to merge ‘Random Posts’ & ‘Recent Comments’ columns and just have some text in this area, and then call up the ‘sidebar.php’ to be in the ‘Next Event’ column.

  Can anyone kindly help with this?
