Help with building a particular site

    I want a page that displays business details like a directory. But I need help in how to have a user access area for those businesses that when they log in they can edit the information displayed on their own page.

    Hi there,

    If you want businesses to be able to edit their own info, you’ll either need to add them as users to your site, or else you’d need to use a plugin on our Business Plan to make this possible.

    Note that if you add them as users, you have two options: You can add them as Authors, which would allow them to publish new posts and edit their own posts on the site. Or you can add them as Editors, which would allow them to publish new posts and pages, as well as edit any post or page on the site.

    In order to control permissions so each person can only edit the specific post/page they’re allowed to do can only be done with plugins.
