help with categories

  I’m new to WordPress. I’ve seen blogs that have their categories set up so all the posts are open and displaying images etc.
  Where as with mine you have to click the posts then you can see everything in it. Is there a way to set mine up like the ones I’ve seen?
  The only example I could find is this blog http://sarahonthego.com/2012/04/23/earth_day/

  Whether or not a full post is displayed on Categories pages or Archives is theme dependent and we can’t edit templates and themes.

  Category/archive pages: full posts or not
