Help with categories, and pages, please

Please don’t get angry with me. I have read the faqs more than once, and searched on the forum, and cannot find the answer to this. I know we are supposed to exhaust everything before asking a question. I asked this question a while ago, but, cannot find my question on the forum, so, maybe I forgot to send it or something??????????????
I’m not computer savvy, so, a lot of the terms, etc. are like speaking another language to me. I am so proud of myself that I have even gotten my blog as far along as I have. I have wanted a website for at least 2 years, but, every time I try to start it, I am lost. I’m just not “with it” with all this computer stuff. (but I am learning a lot with all this) :)
OK, here’s my question – How do I get my pages into my categories? I have tried everything. I am about ready to scream.
Is it just OK to just leave them as pages? It is working fine like that. I haven’t released my blog addy to anyone yet, because I want it to be right when I do, and, I am so excited about it, I want everyone to see it.
I read somewhere that only posts went into the categories, so, maybe I can’t do it anyway. But, I look at other blogs, and they have categories with things in them similar to the things I have on my PAGES. I have tried the parent page thing, but, only my pages come up, not my categories.
I would appreciate any help. And, I apologize in advance that I wasn’t able to find the answer to this before coming to the forum.

I put a similar post about this a few minutes ago. Forgive me, please. I couldn’t find this one, but, now I have. So, if someone wants to delete this, that’s ok with me. I got an answer on the other one also.
I will check out the link above, but, I think I already did, and didn’t understand it. So, I may be back. Sorry, and Thanks.
