Help with creating thumbnails
-
I am a novice wordpress user, so please be nice. :)
I am using a Mac OSX with Firefox.
This is how I used to create thumbnails:
upload/insert: add image (I usually upload one picture at a time and use the “select files” option.
-media library
-show
-then I either choose center or left and thumbnail
-insert into postIt then inserts a thumbnail sized photo into the post (in edit view), but when I view the post (preview), I can’t click on the image to see a larger version of it. Normally it will open a full sized image in the same window that I was viewing the post in.
What step am I missing? Has something changed?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

And please paste the exact URL of your blog when asking questions here – or link your nickname to your blog as explained in the Sticky 8 Things to Know. We usually need that to give a relevant answer.

Most likely when selecting the image and adding it to the page you forgot to click “File URL” under the “Link URL” bar. Doing that before inserting the thumbnail into your post will make the thumbnail clickable to view the full-size image.

Thank you “dcrage”!
That did it.
Is there a way that I can make that the default, or must I choose this each time?

It will become the default.
If you choose another option, though, that one will become the default, so you’ll have to change it back.
