Help with CSS editing

    I would like some help with the code I need to make my blog title larger, the description below it lay out a little better, and make the widget text (non header, that’s fine) larger as well.

    Any help would be so greatly appreciated! I am new to this CSS business and haven’t found the answer on threads.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    a) To make the blog title larger, add this and increase the value:

    #site-title {
        font-size: 24px !important;
    }

    b) To make the widget text larger, add this and increase the value:

    .widget > ul, .widget p {
        font-size: 1.1rem;
    }

    c) What does “lay out a little better” mean?

    Note: in the future make sure you post CSS questions in the CSS forum, not the Support forum.

    Yikes! I’ve been up all night… it is now…

    Thank you so much justpi!! I made your changes and they worked like a charm.
    I was also hoping to make the sentence below the blog title lay out better, or spread more evenly in the 2 lines (rather than 3 words on the second line). I’d also like to increase the font size on this a bit.

    This sentence: I’m a working mom who loves her stuff (clothes, tv, food, books, products) and figuring out the best way to get it.

    You’re welcome.

    To make the tagline larger, add this and increase the value:

    #site-description {
        font-size: 12px !important;
    }

    As for the other part of your request, apparently you’re unaware of a characteristic of the theme you’re using: drag the browser window to make it narrower and see what happens.

    Thanks again justpi! and you’re right, I am probably unaware of some of these characteristics…I am a total novice. I am trying to do what you are suggesting “drag the browser window to make it narrower”, but i’m not totally following you. I’m sorry if I am slow here, but i’m trying and appreciate your help!!

    If you click and drag the bottom right corner of the browser window, you should be able to make the window narrower. This will give you an idea of how your blog may look to different visitors. The theme has a ‘responsive’ layout: its width isn’t fixed, it shrinks or stretches to adapt to different screen resolutions and devices. (Mine is larger than yours, so I’m not seeing “3 words on the second line”, I’m seeing all the tagline on one line. If you set the tagline so that you see two equal lines, some visitors will see the same, other visitors including me will see one long and one short line, and other visitors will see three lines.)
    What I can suggest is a solution that will make more of your visitors see the tagline on a single line. Try this:

    #masthead > .site-branding {
        padding-left: 1em;
        padding-right: 1em;
    }
