help with deleting blog

  if I delete my blog “simplychimerica.wordpress.com”. Would I be able to start using my own url as “www.simplychimera.com”. I want to install new themes in wordpress.org.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  No, if you delete your blog in wordpress, your blog has been deleted of the WWW

  Thanks timethief, but auxclass didnt mentioned if i delete my blog completely from wordpress than will I will be able to use my own url which is simplychimerica.com, not sure if that makes sense.

  If I delete simplychimerica.wordpress.com and I understand everything will from post to followers will be gone. After I delete my wordpress blog, will I be able to start my own new website which I already own “simplychimerica” domain name. I want to start using the opensource wordpress software.

  When mapping or registering a domain it will be attached to one of your existing WordPress.com blogs. Therefore you can choose to add the domain to your existing simplychimerica.wordpress.com blog. Or create a new blog at http://wordpress.com/signup .

  To map or register a domain, go to Store > Domains on your blog’s dashboard and follow the steps there.
