Help with deleting previous blog owner
-
We need to remove the current email address assigned to the previous blog owner. She (let’s call her A) helped to set up the blog for B, who is the real owner but as a senior citizen was unable to do it herself. A has now relocated and is no longer in regular contact with B, and is no longer interested in administrating the site. I am now in the position of having to take over, but we’re having trouble contacting A to get the site ownership properly transferred – we suspect she no longer even uses that email. What should we do now?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello,
You can change the email associated with the account in “Account Settings” here https://wordpress.com/me/account
Once you’ve entered a new email address and clicked “Save Account Settings,” you’ll receive an email at the new address with a confirmation link. You must click the confirmation link to confirm the change and update the email on your account.

Hi there,
There are two ways you can do this.
1) If A is not using the WordPress.com account for anything else, they can provide you with the password which will allow you to log in, change the email address and set your own password, thereby locking them out of the account.
2) A can transfer ownership of the site to either your account, or to B. This way A will retain control over their own account, but they’ll no longer have control over the site itself:

Thanks for the extra info! But A is proving to be uncontactable, hence the problems we’re having. :)

I’m afraid we cannot make any changes to another account without the owner’s consent, so the options I mentioned above are the only ways to resolve this particular issue.
