Help with domain?

  I got my domain name from godaddy and i am using the hosting service from asmallorange. How can I use it on my wordpress side without paying for it to be mapped.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Are you trying to map it to https://iamfabricated.wordpress.com/ ?

  If so, that site isn’t hosted at A Small Orange. It’s hosted here at WordPress.com.

  Hello,

  Thank you for your response. I have paid for hosting for a month. So I wouldn’t have to pay WordPress. However, why do I have to pay more to get it mapped if I have already paid for hosting and paid for the domain.

  Where are you hosting the site exactly? Can you share a link?

  If it’s hosted by ASO or elsewhere, and not at WordPress.com, you don’t need to use the mapping. The domain mapping is only for folks hosted here at WordPress.com.

  It’s not for people who are using the free WordPress software on their own host.

  If you want to use a domain here at WordPress.com, whether it’s a new registration or you’re mapping one you already own, then you’ll need one of the paid plans, yes.
