help with domain

    hi.
    This query is connected to a site that isn’t part of my wordpress sites (I have a few).
    But I’m hoping you can help anyway and Shopify suggested I contact you.

    I had a site with shopify with the url http://www.artisticat.org
    It expired and shopify say that it is in no way connected with them any more, however, it still has my products and info on in but in an unformated way.
    They think that someone may have bought the domain name and copied my products. I think that’s unlikely and somehow there’s a glitch somewhere.

    I’m hoping that you can help me know if it’s a wordpress site, and as it’s got my products and info on it if there’s a way we can take it down.

    Hi Jacqui! That’s an odd case. I checked “view source” and it still seems to be Shopify’s code. But I dug in a bit deeper, and it looks like maybe you were once using cloudflare with the domain, and they have a cached version.

    So, while this is outside the realm of what we can do with WordPress or our hosting services, you might try contacting Cloudflare to see if they can clear that cache. If you still own the domain itself* and only the shopify hosting had expired, you could also point it to some other nameserver. And of course you’d be more than welcome to point here and host with us.

    * For what it’s worth, it looks like it expires in January. So if you owned it recently and want it back, try reaching out to the registrar to see what they can do.
