Help with Domain Availability & Registration

    I was trying to get the free domain with an annual plan deal with WordPress, but the domain somehow mapped to one of my other sites instead of the site I wanted. I refunded it just now and want to buy it again for the site but it won’t show up in the list of available domains – it just says ‘This domain is mapped to another WordPress site’ or something along those lines. How long do I have to wait until it becomes available again?

    Hi there!

    Canceling a domain does not make it immediately available to repurchase elsewhere. Here are the available options for you:

    Wait: You can wait about five days from cancellation for the domain to be released. So long as no one else buys it before you do, you can purchase it again with another provider.

    Repurchase the Domain: We can send an invoice and restore the domain. You’ll be able to point it to a new host as soon as it’s restored, then transfer the registration after 60 days.

    Repurchase a Plan: To host your site here, buy an annual plan, skip the domain option, and update us here.
