Help with domain mapping please

Hi Guys,
Im new to WP and have started learning how to create blogs on it, what i would like to know is :-
– Can i upload a blog that i have made in WP to a domain i have registered somewhere else e.g fasthosts ?
I want to do this as i want the blog to be registered and served with fasthosts and not WP.com as if i start creating more blogs and host them all on WP they will all have the same ip which is what i do not want.
Has anyone had any expierence of this before ? Any info would be appreciated.

If you are referring to a free blog from and being free hosted by wordpress.com then “no” you cannot embed wordpress.com blogs in other sites. Please read the entries at the links below so you are clear on the differences between wordpress.COM free hosted blogs and free software installs to self hosting from wordpress.org.

The thing is unless you purchased a dedicated IP address from fasthost as part of your hosting package, you will have the same IP address as everyone else on that particular server.
Just sayin’
You can export your content from here and import it into the wordpress installation at fasthost.

Do you have your own domain name already registered?
Have you installed and configured the wordpress.ORG software at fasthost?
