Help with Domain Refund (there was no refund option in purchases)
-
Hello, I created this site 2 years ago when I was first starting my business and after a few name changes and having a custom site built, I completely forgot that this wordpress account existed until I was charged for the domain recently. I have just cancelled the domain on my account, how do I go about getting a refund? Thank you!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

What is the URL of the domain that you canceled?
Canceling and refunding purchases
There are no prorated refunds. Refunds https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/ are time limited.
• WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund from date of purchase on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers.
• The refund period for Domain Registrations and Renewals is 48 hours.
• It takes from 1 – 2 weeks or 7 – 10 business days for the refund to be received after canceling an upgrade and requesting one.You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard, cancel any upgrades, claim a refund for any qualified upgrades, and disable auto-renew. Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades. You can also disable auto-renew there. Canceling and refunding purchases http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-upgrades/#canceling-upgrades

Hi –
I can do this for you. First, we need to confirm that you no longer have any plans to use the domain jdacconsulting.com? If there’s any chance you’ll want to use that again cancellation is not the best option. Write back here to let me know. Thanks.

The domain was jdacconsulting.com. I was charged for a renewal which I no longer need. We definitely do not have any plans to use that domain so we have cancelled it.

I’ve refunded the $26 for the domain renewal. These funds should reach you in about ten days.
