Help With Editing

    3 questions.

    First, when I go to edit my site, do I edit the pages or do I do it in Editor beta?

    Second, the theme I’m currently using already had a header and footer that work in tandom (ex. editing navigation bar changes in footer as well, etc.)..but when I edit the page set as the home page in ‘All Pages’, can I add a new header and footer that will replace the pre-loaded theme ones?

    Lastly, I want a website store. I don’t want a blog. It seems like the theme I started with is a website+blog setup. How can I fix this?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Also, I think I removed the original newsletter subscription email block in the footer that came with the theme and changed it and when I go to test it, I don’t see a notification that someone subscribed? Did I mess something up?

    Hey there,

    Happy to help you with this.

    To edit content, you would go to Pages > click on a page and edit.

    The site editor is for editing page templates. This guide here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/wordpress-editor/ explains a bit more on full site editing.

    You wouldn’t edit the header via Pages > All pages, this would be edited via Appearances > Editor.

    That’s totally possible, it looks like you’re using the ecommerce plan, so you should have all of the plugins needed already installed.

    I don’t see a notification that someone subscribed? Did I mess something up?

    You should be able to see subscribers via Users > Subscribers. What is the email address used for the test?
