Help with embedding Google Sheets
-
Hi folks-
I’m trying to get a correctly formatted table on my webpage, and I’m having some trouble with it. Could someone help me figure out how I can do this?First, I tried just copy/pasting it (from a Google Sheet), but the formatting wasn’t right, so I tried following the embedding instructions here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/google-docs/#sheets
A couple of problems with that:
1. I want the table to just show up directly on the page, not just be some link that users have to click on to get another tab with the table.
2. The table doesn’t show up correctly, mainly just missing visible borders in certain places. I don’t really know how to fix that, since what I see from the embedded link is different from what it looks like in the original spreadsheet. Some things to consider:
-I get the basic ideas behind coding, but I don’t really do it. That’s why I’m on wordpress.com, not .org. If the solution involves adjusting the html, it’s probably not going to work for me. :/
-I plan to still be making updates to this table once in a while, so it would be helpful if the solution is one that is not difficult to make adjustments to.
-It doesn’t have to be taken from Google Sheets. I actually use a Google doc for the version of this table that I use, I just figured Sheets would work best for making updates and sharing with others. But I could pull it from Docs, Word/Excel, whatever.
-The webpage I’m working on is here: https://ccrcourse.wordpress.com/for-educators/lessons-assignments/
Currently, you can see the embedded link, as well as the copy/paste I did originally. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
