Help with Featured Images in (theme) Hatch

  Hello!
  I hope I’m posting this in the right place but here we go:

  Im using Hatch to create a kind of photo blog/gallery, but I can’t get it quite right. Take a look here: http://ostraatphotography.wordpress.com/
  What I can’t get is that in order to have that thumpnail on the home page I need to set an featured image, but then when I upload that that Images, it’s displayed twice.

  Is there any way to have that thumbnail on the front page leading into that image without the image is posted twice?

  One more point for clarification; the image displayed on the site with text and exif data is now only featured image.
