Help with Fontfolio theme and images?

  I’m trying to make my photographs on the Font Folio theme the same size as the titles (as shown in the grid-like format in the demo) but I can’t find a way for them to reach the edges:

  I don’t mind the images being cropped as on the home page, but not on the post page itself. Would anyone be able to help? Here’s what the demo theme is supposed to look like:

  Hi,

  Not sure if you’ve read this or not, but here’s Fontfolio theme’s documentation page:

  The following part might be relevant with your question:

  To get the most from Fontfolio‘s grid-based design on the blog index and archives pages, you can assign Featured Images to your posts. If no Featured Image is present, the theme will pull the post’s first attached image instead. If no images are attached to the post, the theme will pull the first image from the content of your post.

  The first post on your home page will always display larger than the surrounding posts, at 562 x 461 pixels, cropped. The rest of the posts display at 282 x 211 pixels, cropped. (The theme will size the images for you automatically, so you don’t need to crop them yourself, unless you want a very specific crop.)

  Hi! Thanks so much for your reply. Yes I did read that, so I’m wondering if I do need a specific crop, and how to go about doing that…?

  The landscape photo seems fine, it’s the portrait ones that aren’t quite filling the space how I’d like.

  Hi, and thanks in advance for your prompt reply. I also ask that you excuse me for jumping in here on an unrelated issue, but I for some reason couldn’t find where to start a new thread. Forgive me. My question is: Are there no plugins available for Fontfolio? It is a .wordpress.com site as is another site that I have. However, the other site allows for plugins on my dashboard and Fontfolio does not. Please feel free to speak to me as a first grader as I have little idea of techy jargon and just need a simple explanation so that I can change my theme if need be. Thanks so very much for your help!
