help with formatting the oxygen slider

  Hi, please help!

  I removed the date on all of the posts on this website so it would look more like a website, less like a blog. On the oxygen slider, there is now an extra white box where the date used to be, under the title box. Is there anyway to remove this?

  Also, until I put up my third blog post, there were headings for “recent news” and “older news” that have now disappeared around the blog posts. How do I get these back?
