Help with Gateway header image and changing color of button/social links

    Hello,

I am trying to get my header image to look as advertised with the Gateway theme because right now it is much more cropped. I have followed the steps I have seen in another post and on the demo but I don’t know how to assign the Home Page Template to the front page when the “Home” on my menu is a custom link and not a page.

Also is there any way to change the red color on the button/social links? Thanks for your help!

    Hi,

I am trying to get my header image to look as advertised with the Gateway theme because right now it is much more cropped.

See the information provided by @kathrynwp in the topic header image much smaller and different ratio than advertised.

I don’t know how to assign the Home Page Template to the front page when the “Home” on my menu is a custom link and not a page.

How to assign an alternate page template to a page, on a theme that has optional page templates, is described in the Template section of the Page Attributes support page. The site https://airplanemary.com/ presently has the front page set to display the latest post. If you set a static front page instead, regardless of the page template assigned to it, then you’ll need to change your “Home” custom link accordingly.

Also is there any way to change the red color on the button/social links?

Yes. It looks like you have the default colors & backgrounds palette selected. You may change the color of the links and buttons by selecting one of the six other optional palettes at Customize > Colors & Backgrounds > Background > Palettes. Each of the other six optional palettes will also affect header text color and some of them will modify the general background color as well.

and some of them will modify the general background color as well.

I mean that some of the palette options have a general background color than is different from the default palette, which is the one presently set on the site.
