Help with header and sidebar

I have spent days trying to figure out why my header image will not show up on my blog and also why my sidebar widgets are at the bottom of my pages. I am stuck! I read the forum advice but was unable to detect the issue with my css. Somebody please, please, please advise!!

If you have the CSS editing upgrade and have edited your blog the uploader for custom image headers can no longer be used. You must upload the image and link to the URL for it on the CSS stylesheet.
When sidebars fall to the bottom of the blog its’ usually due to bad HTML in a post, so you check posts on at a time to locate the problem and correct it.

Thanks timethief! The only problem is that I already tried linking to the header image on my css…. still nothing.
I have been going through my posts and the sidebar does not show up on any of them!

E Gads! I never realized this has anything to do with CSS editing. It’s only recommended to those wh are experienced because there is no Staff support.
What I do know is that after you have edited the CSS you can no longers use the custom geader uploader. From then on your have to link to the URL of the header image in your CSS stylesheet.
I also know that you should read this post.
The common mistake 98% of people who have the CSS upgrade make when modifying a theme is to paste the WHOLE theme’s CSS code in the CSS Editor. DO NOT DO THAT!
And I know that you need Firebug a Firefox addon. That’s it.
