  • Hi
My understanding of your question is how to make the top level links of your site (Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks, Dinner and Desserts) into triggers for the drop down menus rather than links to a particular page.
You will need to go to the menu section of the Customizer for your theme and edit the main menu.
The trick is to add the top links as Custom Links.
Click the Add Item button and select Custom Link.
In the URL box simply put a #. This makes a link that will activate the drop down menu below it but not go anywhere itself.
In the Link Text box put the wording you want for the link so, for instance in your case “Breakfast”.
Click Add to Menu and it will be added at the bottom of the menu.
From here you can drag it up to where you want it in the menu or you can use the arrows to move it up and down and/or in and out.
Remember that if an item is indented it becomes part of a drop down menu under the item above that is not indented.
Now you can move all the items you want as the sub menu under the link we created above.
Items you want to remove from the menu can be removed by opening the item and clicking the Remove link.
So you need to remove the links for Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks, Dinner and Dessert and then create Custom links with the same names, and finally dag all the sub menu items into place below them and indented.
There is also a good guide to creating and editing menus here:

    I hope that helps.
