Help with Hero theme callouts

  Hi and thanks in advance for any help I can get.

  I’m having trouble getting the three callouts to appear on the bottom of the Hero theme. I’ve read the theme instruction page over and over, I’ve set the tags and even set the test pics that I set up as features and they still don’t appear. I also noticed that according to the instruction page for the theme, that I should be seeing a tag list drop down in the ‘home promos’ tab of the customizer, which I don’t see at all. The only thing I see on the ‘home promos’ tab is for the tagline text, and the tagline link drop down.

  Is there anyone familiar with this enough to help me set it up?

  ugh, sorry for the double post. I ASSumed that clicking the ‘change’ button would allow me to correct the original post. :-(
