Help with image maps
-
How do, everyone. Got a question regarding image maps. How does one implement them? I am running an image-only science fiction/fantasy blog to which I’d like to be able to add image maps linking off to other sites (convention news, etc). I can slice my image using Photoshop, which is all fine and dandy, but then I have all these bits and pieces and code snippets. Don’t want to deal with that in an environment in which I cannot FTP. Plus I can’t add an /IMAGES folder. So how do I implement the HTML code?
Or, if image maps are not supported, how else can I add links to an image in here?
Thanks in advance, and I hope this isn’t a dumb question. I’m not an HTML n00b — been doing HTML since the mid 90s. I can’t find the answer anywhere on the site — of course, I may not be using the right search terms.

To add a single link to a single image, you just upload the image via the Add an Image tool of the editor and put the URL you want it to link to in the “Link URL” field before inserting it.
For image mapping, try these:

Thanks, I know about the single link thing — easy-peasy. What I want to do is to add multiple links. I’ll check out the links you suggest.

Also, I do know how to make image maps — I’ve made many. Maybe I didn’t make that clear in my OP. What I want to know is how to implement them — if I can do so — in my WordPress blog. No biggie if it can’t be done, but I’d like to know.

Then I still don’t understand your question: if you have the HTML for a mapped image, you just paste it into the HTML post/page editor (or in a text widget, if you want the image in your sidebar). Perhaps showing us an example of your “bits and pieces and code snippets” would help – paste it here between backticks.
