help with inserting links into content

  I am having difficulty adding a link to the blog content. I used the HTML method of highlighting and inserting but it does not show up in the blog content once published.

  Also on the visual tab my link icon and broken link icon are not highlighted and I can not insert a link using this method….

  Can someone help me understand inserting link options.
