help with ipad app

I read all the threads concerning the ipad app on wordpress.com. I noticed some folks recommended using Support for wordpress.org in order to ask questions. But I use wordpress.com

I am on vacation and wanted to use my ipad for blogging. Questions:
    1. Why can’t I access my dashboard for my blog through my browser Safari?
    2. When using the app I can’t access all of the tags I used in the past articles; I have to type in a tag list on the post page. Why is this?
    3. I tried to edit my header and I can’t crop because I have a touch screen.

I am still learning how the ipad operates and how apps work. But as of right now with what knowledge I have, the app is a pain in the butt compared to my laptop.

Is this my fault for lack of knowledge or is the ipad wordpress.com app as difficult to use as I find it?

Here’s the link for the iOs forums http://ios.forums.wordpress.org/
You may want to post here so the developers are aware of the issue > http://ios.forums.wordpress.org/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting
This is just to be sure are you running the latest version of the app http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2012/08/09/wpios-3-1/

If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.org, click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the iOs forums.

  • 1. You can access the Dashboard through Safari on your iPad, but the WordPress Dashboard is not yet tailored for use on mobile devices, so you may find the app to be a better experience.

    2. At the time, that’s just how the app works, There really isn’t a good way to list out tags the would be helpful for most people, as some bloggers have well over 500 tags. It would be a rather large list to scroll through.

    3. That’s part of the limitations mentioned back in #1. At this time, there is no way to do that via a mobile device, even with the app.
