Help with Isca theme

I just purchased an upgrade to WordPress Premium and installed the Isca theme. Try as I might, I cannot remove the hideous red “About” menu which shows up below my site’s title on every page. Please help.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi Jim,

Well, you can do that a few ways, and you don’t necessarily need CSS to do so. First off, that “About” is a link to the About page which is located in your dashboard under Pages >> All Pages. If you don’t use that page, you can just delete it, and the menu will go away.

Alternatively, if you do want that page to stay where it is but you want the menu to go away, you can create a custom menu with nothing in it and put that in its place. You create custom menus in your Dashboard under Appearance >> Menu. Just create a new menu (name it whatever you like and save it, but don’t put anything in there) and then under the Location tab, activate this new menu. The “About” should now be gone!

Let me know if you have troubles with either of these or if you’re really sure about using CSS. I can take a look or direct you to our CSS Customization forum.

Thanks. The second option sounds better. I will try that. Given your approach it sounds like I could make a new page, say “gallery” and see if it comes up in that spot. I just can’t imagine that a reader scrolling through posts needs to see a big red “about” every single time. Thanks again!
    Jim
