help with jpegs please

  not really for my blog, but you folks are so smart…please help! I made a jpeg photo to use a signature on a web forum. If I print it, it nearly fills a letter sized page. The file says its dimensions are 4201×2551, but when I upload it to Photobucket and copy the IMG code to insert it in the forum, it’s tiny. I keep resizing it in Irfanview, but I can’t make it appear any bigger…and I don’t even want it that big! just a forum signature. Any help?
