help with layout needed?

  have just bought a wootheme gazette layout and busy trying to build the site….
  i have created a design in photoshop using the gazette and now am trying to build using wordpress.
  i have managed to create the slider ok. also added 3 banenrs on the right side bar….

  i now need help doing the following:
  1) need to make the font in the right side bar smaller. also need to have the 3 banners spced evenly so they cover the height of the slider and feautered uni header

  2) i need to add an events calender and not sure what to use…. any help appreciated here!!

  3) i need to add 4 posts to the home page as per the sample below.
  post 1 will be the category ‘jobseeker article’ and will be selected each week.
  post 2 will be form category employers articles and is to be a video article form an employer/organisation
  post 3 will be category ‘research article’
  psot 4 will be a artcile from UKSN website

  You may wish to get your money back. External themes generally cannot even be adapted at all to work with WP.com.
