Help with Logo Graphics

The logo for my blogsite is an irregular shape – and when it is published over the header image – it is surrounded by a white rectangular background. Which doesn’t look right. I got a graphics person to make the background of the logo transparent – but when I use it in WordPress – it still has a white background. Any suggestions? Thanks Chris

It looks as though the file itself actually has the white background in it, you can this here: https://teamnorton.files.wordpress.com/2018/08/norton-tank.png?w=768&h=116. If there were no background the color would display differently (typically checkered). Are you able to open it with another editing tool to view this yourself?
Perhaps it would be best to touch base with your graphics person to double check this and request another verified version be sent.
