Help with lost save

  I typed for over an hour on a revision, had it perfect, hit save draft and lost it all. Any way we can find it again? My revision list does not have tonight’s update.

  Hi there,

  I’m sorry to hear that your post disappeared! Usually in cases like this the post or changes have disappeared because there was a second tab or a second window open to another post and our autosave feature got confused and ended up saving the revisions to a different post within your blog. Is it possible that you had any other tabs or windows open?

  You may want to go through any recent posts to check the revisions there!

  Thanks, amightywp, I checked and it is not there. When I hit save draft, a message came up that said something like attempt failed, retry? I hit retry without thinking it through. Would it have been better to hit the back button?

  Retry absolutely should have worked! The back button may have had the content there as well, but it also may have just displayed what was previously saved instead.

  Again, I’m sorry that your post disappeared and that it was apparently not stored in one of your other posts’ revisions. I wish there was something I could do!
