Help with maintaining aspect ratio of background image

    Hi all, I’m new to this and am trying to get a background image used on every page of this site http://shiningbrilliance.com/site/ to not distort when the browser page is resized (i.e. for it to scale but not distort the images correct aspect ratio) I use wordpress.com (so hosted by wordpress) – Any ideas greatly appreciated. I tried editing this in the CSS but nothing seemed to change anything: #background { position: relative; }
    #backgrounds img { position: fixed; top: 0px; left: 0px; height: auto; width: 100%; min-height: 100%; min-width: 1024px; }
